The protest meeting was called to order by Belon Howington.. The protest was
concerning the entries for Lacy Wade of the Mid-Delta Association. The entry
form was never mailed with the other entries from the association and the
exhibitor was given all copies of the entry form. The entry was already
signed by the Mid-Delta secretary. She paid for a stall and to ride in
classes 9, 14 and 18. She was not on any of the association’s sheet-stalls,
back numbers, or class sheets. Mid-Delta had not paid for her stall or
classes. Belon had stated he has earlier turned down a request from one of
his own association members to add in the 4-D barrels because it was against
the rule and the exhibitor was not on the sheets and had not turned in the
proper paper work. The number given to Lacy Wade 788 had already been given
to Cristil Gallery & 789 was given to Erin Gallery. After much discussion
about the error made by the Mid- Delta secretary, there was a motion made by
Murl Brunson. to allow the exhibitor to ride in the remaining classes. A
second was made by Kim Well. Motion carried by 7 for 4 opposed and 1
abstaining. Those for letting the exhibitor ride were: Murl Brunson, George
Gardner, Doyle Batte, Doug Jones, Linda Case, Diane Edwards and Kim Wells.
Those opposing were: Jeff Collum, Gina Prisock, Mike Rushing and Tammy
Ratcliff. G. A. Liles abstained,
Respectfully
submitted,
Kim Moss
Assistant Secretary
